Pop Up form that behaves as subform

Is it possible to link a normal form(pop up) so it behaves as it where a subform to the master. The main form has a command button that pops up another form with different info pertaining to the main form records. The main for has its own table and the pop up has its own table. There is a one to many relationship between the tables. This works fine when I embedd the subform on the main but am looking for a way to make it more aestheically pleasing. I don't know how to link master/child fields or synchronize two seperate forms.

you could set the records source once the pop up loads then reload it. make it so the record source only pulls data related to the showen record.
