I am using 4.1 outputting pixelated grainy tiffs (which were scanned at 600 dpi) and using "quality" setting on the epson c80, I have re-installed software and rebuilt desktop - but no matter what I do, after I edit print styles ( to include high res tiffs), and go to print menu, I cannot switch to the new setting - literally the button is frozen on default. is there anyway to fix the button issue or get the output better? when I print from photoshop the images are fine.

any help would be great!!!

Edit print styles, duplicate the default and call it hi-res or something. Set everything you want. Then file print, choose hi-res and you should be ok.

You should be able to change that option under the print window without having to edit the 'Print Styles'.

You could try deleting the Xpress preference's that you will find in the Quark folder, this will however mean having to recreate all your print styles so be WARNED!!

You will not get the best results printing tiffs straight out of Quark im afraid, not with an Epson. Unless you have a postscript print or rip. If you can't fix it in 20 minutes call someone who can.
