Poor Paging Quality on IPO

I am trying to connect the analog station port to a Bogen C 10B paging amp. I have read a few posts about connecting via a WMT-1A, but have seen nothing that address audio quality. When test paging, I do get audio through to the speakers, but the volume is low, and the sound is distorted, and becomes more distorted as I increase the volume on the amp. Any suggestions?

Stuff messing about. We use these every time we use paging now a days.

Expensive I know but if you are trade this will be alot cheaper.

Plug in and go. Never seen an issue with these installed.

Did you connect the WMT-1A to the 600 ohm input, or to a Hi-Z (AUX) input? The WMT-1A will have a wiring diagram for connecting to a MIC input as well.

I have connected to this model, and it's variants, give more detail, I know it can be done. Post exactly as you have it connected.

I have connected to both the Aux input, and the Hi-Z Mic input (both 1 and 2). I did adjust the jumper on the WMT-1 to accomadate, but unfortunately the quality was the same no matter which configuration I tried.

OK, on the analog station port on the IPO, one wire we will call tip, and the other wire ring. Tip, and ring are connected to what? They should be connected to the screw down terminals on the WMT-1A, and the RCA output of the WMT-1A to the amp. The diagram with the WMT should show how to connect it to the MIC input, which require some splicing if memory serves me.

This may be going into to much detail, but since I do not have my eyes on it, I have to ask, since I have made this work on this type of amp a dozen times. WMT-1A is simply a matching transformer to adapt the IPO output to the amps input.

The IPO station port should be configured as speaker in the ext settings.
