Purchased a Polycom Soundstation2 Nortel direct connect phone for new conference room. They recommend programming as a M2616.

In house we only have 3900 digital phones.
No big deal figured I would give it a shot.

Once I begin programming I notice that there is no place for an DN?

When programming a M2616 Where do you program the DN?
Are the M2616 different so different from the 3900 series that they can not have a DN (Extension) assigned to them?

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

The DN goes in the same place as it does on a 3900 type
KEY 0 xxxx
KEY 1 XXXX

Just make a new TN and type 2616, just keep hitting the Enter Key and that will use all the defaults. then Print that TNB and you will see what is programmed, then just go back in and do a CHG and enter the DN on Key 0 it's just like a 3900 type phone.

Are you using OTM?

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Yes I am using OTM for most of this.
Still learning to program on switch. Getting more comfrotable with it but still on the curve if you know what I mean.

Have now programed key0 with the DN

Thanks for quick reponse. Should have known that.

Works like a charm.
