I've learned the 3904's are not afffected by polarity issues. but the 3903's are I had one working, unplugged it, then put it to the same jack and it just didnt work. I was wondering if anyone knows the command to force a 3903 to accept whatever polarity its receiving?Save me some time flipping pairs around. Thanks and happy FRIDAY!!

yep i have a clue, do you have a clue.. (lol) i have never seen any nortel meridian digital set work without the correct polarity.. no commands in the switch deal with layer one hardware.. i hope someone has found one

All the 3000 and 2000 series phones are affected by polarity.
Sorry, you're gojng to have to put all that labor into flipping the pairs.

Armytechie is right. but only M3904 are not polarity sensitive and no command is avaliable to turn polarities.

the 3904 i have on my desk in the switch room is polarity sensitive, that doesn't mean they all are, but since we run jumpers sunnyside up, we may not have even noticed if some of the later rls's think they are key phones

We run jumpers scattered, smothered and covered and out 3900's are definitely polarity sensitive.
