Here goes -

until yesterday, we used a domain solely for email. So the DNS were set accordingly, through our ISP, eons ago. Now we've finally got hosting, (separate provider from the email), and a little website going, and were instructed to enter new DNS addresses for the domain. So now I find the email is messed up and I am required to reset all the accounts through the new host. We were perfectly happy using the ISP for email, but we can't host with them.

So here is my question - The domain management agent allows me to enter up to 6 DNS hostnames. Will a conflict arise if i just stick the ISP's DNS hostnames in slots three and four? (having changed the first two as instructed by our host) Is it possible to use have our email hosted one place and our website somehwere else?

Thanks very much.
Rob

You can put all the DNSs in you want, it wont change anything only redundancy.

What you need is an MX record. If you can't put one in at your DNS page then you have to ask your web/DNS-hotel to do it for you.
