PNG troubles

After saving an image in PNG format (via Photoshop) with the one alpha mask channel, I have not been able to import the image into Dreamweaver correctly. When I go under Image -> Insert -> and then select the PNG formatted image, it comes in all blackened out. I have tried the different compression options with the PNG format but this makes no difference. What am I missing? Is there some sort of extension I need to load in order to make the PNG come in correctly?

I haven't had time to check this out. Have you considered creating the file as a Gif and making the background color transparent? [sig][/sig]
