One of our EPN connected thru DS1C to the PPN is showing PN blockage as follows

list measurements blockage pn yesterday-peak Page 1 SPE A
Date: 10:44 am MON JUL 25, 2005
BLOCKAGE STUDY REPORT

Meas Time Division Multiplexed(TDM)
PN Hour Usage Peg Peak Blockage
5 1000 1176 2224 45 0

Port Network(PN) Link
Time-slots Usage Peg Peak Blockage
54 1233 1439 44 46

As we can see, there is no blocking in the TDM bus but PN blockage is showing as 46.
The confusing part here is the Timeslots peak is only 44 which is far less than the capacity(54) but still the system is showing Blocking..

Can any one suggest where to look at? & what is the problem

Thanks

It looks like you only have 1 DS1. The 1st 4 timeslots of the DS1C link are reserved for signalling. 48 timeslots less the 4 for signalling means you have 44 timeslots. I have no idea why the system is showing 54 unless maybe the system thinks you have E1's instead of DS1's for some buggy reason. Regardless, you do appear to have a total of 44 slots and you are blocking.

The reason it is showing 54 Time Slots is because we use E1 standard( 2 MB - 30 channels) lines in this part of the world, for E1s, the time slots will be 60 & 6 will be used for signalling, hense the figure 54. For T1 ( 24 Channels) which you are referring are 48 time slots, T1 standard is used in US.

But the question remains as it is, we have total 54 Time slots, 44 are used in the peak time, but still we have blocking, This we need to know as why it is happening??

Awaiting your values feedback
