Plotting table result in Excel

Hi!

I have got a table that looks like this:
A B
Name1 doc1
Name2 doc1
Name3 doc1
Name4 doc2
Name5 doc2
Name3 doc3
Name4 doc4
Name7 doc4


and I want to plot how many names have read doc1, doc2, doc3 and doc4. As the list has more that 4000 rows its not easy to do it manually…

you need to use a pivot table

Select the data area and go Data>Pivottable

Follow the wizard and when you see a button named "LAYOUT" click it and set the fields out as follows:

Doc Name as ROW field
COUNT of NAME as VALUE field
