Hi everyone. Would appreciate some help please. A friend of mine has an a4tech mouse and cannot get it working on his PC. The plug on the end of the mouse is one of those small round ones. However the back of his PC does not have a compatible small round port. So what he has done is, he is using an adpater to convert the small round plug into a rectangular com type plug. He has plugged this rectangular plug into the com 1 port on the back of the PC. He has then installed all the drivers that came on the disk with the mouse. However, when he boots up in Windows, it does not recognise his mouse. I think the problem lies where he PC only has com ports and I think it's just a matter of getting windows to recognise that the mouse is plugged into com 1/2. Can anyone suggest how this can be done or provide any other useful help. Thanks.

Make sure the adapter is working, the process you went
through should work. can you get a keyboard with a 'small
round end' to put into the adapter to test it so you can
eliminate it?? Jay~
