Hi all.

I've just spent the last three days copying a massive SQL Server DB from one server to another using DTS and none of the indexes or PKs have copied accross. This process was such a huge drain on resources that we really want to avoid repeating it, and as there are around 200-odd indexes to create, I'd really love to be able to automate this somehow. Is it possible that I can just copy the indexes somehow from one DB to another?

Stephen.

Have you try full database backup and restore it to another machine?

You can script the indexes from the database that has them, then run the script on the new box.

Depending on record length it might just be faster to backup and restore the database.
