i am connecting to a remote switch, through telnet on port 10, which is assigned to vlan 200 and the manegment is ofcourse on the same vlan (200), now how do i switch the port to vlan 1 and switch the management vlan also to 1, with out getting booted off.

any help would be great
thanks

i was able to change the port to a trunk, so i can now access the switch from any vlan, tricky part now is changing the management port to 1 from 200 with out getting booted..any ideas

I don't see a way you can change the mgmt vlan ip without getting dropped. I changed the mgmt vlan and ip. I got dropped but was able to connect to the new ip address.

copy a new config to the start-up config then reboot.

MCP,CCA, Net+, 1 quarter CCNP...

Hellbabe read the description!!! he does not want the end user to get drop when changing vlan.

There is no way around it, do it after hour.

If you had a tftp server you could put the modified config on the tftp server then download the config to startup config . then do a "copy start run " and this will put it in the running config , you will still get a blip but it will shorter than doing a reload .
