I keep getting this problem hence i can no longer test my web sites

HTTP 404 - File not found
Internet Information Services

Tried to uninstall and re-install but it didn't work

I googled it too but found no valid solution

At my wits end please help

An HTTP 404 means what it says, it can not find the file you are requesting in the Address bar. Make sure that the file exists. If you are trying to go to a folder, make sure that the default file is setup correctly.

This files exist I mean everything was working fine and then all of a sudden this error appears. I'm a web developer so I want to test my pages when i've cpmpleted them ie(Hit F12 to test in browser) but I keep getting this message. My internet works fine and I can access any page on the web.

What do you mean setting up the default file correctly

usually webservers check for a file named index.htm, index.html, index.php or something similar if they aren't asked for a specific file.

It sounds like you are editing the files in Visual Studio or something, and then using that app to launch the file?

Sounds like the editor add isn't doing something correctly.

That should read
