That is pretty wild.
Your an MIS, so I don't know how a hardware geek, such as myself, is really going to help, but,,,,,, 2 cabbage heads are better than one. (no offense
First clue: QUICKTIME ?
You have to look at that. I can only speculate that it is installed on your computer, or was.
Something (some esoteric setting), was changed.
I guess, if you have tried to figure this out, it's time for some hacking and whacking.
I don't have enough info about your OS & IE version installed, so I will add more info myself.
>> Before anything, I would uninstall Quicktime.
> RUN REGLEAN <
> Reboot
Then:
1st) I would just try to upgrade to IE 5.5 SP2. That would totally upgrade IE. ** However, you probably can't do that, right ?
2nd) If you have upgraded in the past, you can go to Control panel and choose to uninstall that upgrade. Then reboot,,,,,,,,
** RUN RECLEAN ***
and go about getting the upgrade done again.
> Can you post more info about your computer ?
What OS ?
What version IE ?
ALSO - Is Quicktime on your computer now ?
Did you get a clean uninstall ?
Did you do some IE upgrade lately ?
I'll wait for an update.
