Dear Lord, I hope someone can help me. I had been clearing out (terminating) former employees from previous owners in Aloha, as our restaurant was purchased as a "turn key" sale. I terminated the former owner in the employee database which in turn has terminated our access to login into Aloha manager. I have a new autumn menu that needs to be entered, as well as run our labor reports for payroll, none of which I can access as we cannot log-in. May I also mention that our system is no longer supported by Aloha as it is run by Windows XP. HELP PLEASE!!!!!

Go into the Aloha(QS) folder on the server and grab the emp.dbf from a dated sub before you made this change (Example d:\aloha\20140908), drop it into the NEWDATA and DATA folder overwriting the current one and then open Aloha Manager again.

You're basically replacing the EMP.DBF which contains the employees with one before you made all the changes. Taking this file from a dated folder and dropping it into your DATA/NEWDATA folder reverts the changes.

After further investigation, it seems that the prior owner also did not back up dailies. The establishment has been two entities prior to our purchase, and the data that has been saved was from the first entity. Will reverting back the employee data eliminate any new employee entries? Thanks for your help!

Don't forget to save the current EMP.DBF file (back it up).

Also, Just a thought, could you just copy the current EMP.DBF (backup) open the older EMP.DBF. Open the previous version and get the Deleted Employee data (screen shots or writing the info down) then revert to the newest version of the EMP.DBF file and recreate the Deleted employee?

It would revert all changes, even new employees. Download a dbf editor like DPFPlus and edit the NEWDATA/DATA emp.dbf. Look for the employee number you terminated and there should be a "TERMINATED" field. If you zapped/terminated the employee in question instead of deleted the employee, you should be able to change the TERMINATED field from "Y" to "N".
