Hi, thanks in advance for any suggestions. I am trying to restore a file but it always ends in E0014 (Restore Operation Incomplete). It always give me an error of "Please add LONG name space to restore". I am running Arcserve 7 for Netware. I had checked the volumes on the Novell Server and they all have LONG name support.

Try using the client agent, also make sure the tsa and smdr nlms are current.

Sorry, but I am a noob at Arcserve and Netware. How do I go about using the client agent or check the tsa and smdr nlms are current. My company is using Novell 5.1.
The whole setup used to be working until I reinstall the Arcserve for Netware on another Server. The backup job is fine though.

The console command Modules will show the loaded NLMs and their versions. The agent is installed via the product CD and when setting up the backup can be used either by selecting the target under Client Agents or selecting the target under Network and then right clicking and selecting agents.
However it is probably better if you start by making sure ARCserve is up to date.
