Playing .wav files on the web

I have done web development for several years but until now I have never needed to play .wav files on the web. Could someone please explain to me how I can play a .wav when a page loads. Thank you to everyone who replies

I choose the width and height to 2 and 1 so it makes it look like it is invisible. You can also add the attribute:
HIDDEN=&quot;TRUE&quot; into the embed tag, but that didn;t work for me, so I just simulated it instead.
