I have recently been happily altering and reexporting and republishing my little movie, and suddenly, for no apparent reason it decided to load the first frame and stop there, without playing.
I have been using the upload interface of Crosswinds.net, not publishing from flash. Just inserting the swf into an html page made in Dreamweaver. The autoplay box in Dreamweaver was ticked.

I did find a solution, which was to place a 'play' action in one of the frames at the start of the movie, but I want to understand why things suddenly changed. I did nothing differently, yet the movie stopped playing.

Also, does anyone other than nme have trouble with the motion guide?

Thanks

Aquatron

Aquatron,

I don't know what your problem is with using motion guides. I presume that it is the fact that they are not following the path that you have set them to. I too have had this problem.

The answer is, you graphic that you are attaching to the guide has two lock on points, one being the centre of the graphic, the other being the centre cross, highlighted in the library viewer. What you are possibly doing is snapping the graphics centre to the guide and it isn't really connected to it. You need to go into your library, make sure that the graphic is central to the cross and snap the cross onto the guide.

This should connect the two and the problem should be solved.

All the best,

Let me know if you have any more problems or if this isn't actually the problem you had.

mr.mooster@virgin.net
