Windows 2000 SP2 server

Hi,

I'm having a problem with power saving on the above server. When looking into the Device Manager the Computer is coming up as a "Standard PC". In the power saving applet there are no power savings options either APM or ACPI. When choosing to update the driver from the Device Manager Windows 2000 doesn't find a better driver (its searching the CDROM driver CD that came with the server).
The BIOS shows ACPI is enabled, I have also tried disabling which had no effect.

Having no power saving causes a couple of problems 1 - When using the power switch the computer turns itself off without shutting down, and 2 - when doing a shut down from the Start Menu its goes to the "Its safe to shut down screen". The second causes problems with the UPS.

Any other ideas on how to procede ? Or is it just go for a reinstall?

Cheers

Ash.
