Hi,

I've just made an image of a world map using lots of dots which animate when rolled over with the mouse (the dots are all one duplicated movie clip). Unfortunately, I wanted the name of the country being rolled over to appear underneath the map and thought I could just make several buttons at the bottom of the image that were only visable when rolled over and, for each button, place the 'hit' area over the relevent country.

Unfortunately I've tried this, and it stops the original movie clip from animating.

If any one could suggest a way of working round this, I'd be hugely greatful, and can attach a file if my description is a big confusing.

Oh yeah, and I also want each dot to be a link to a different web page- not sure if this affects what I want to do.

Many thanks,

Place an invisible button inside of each "dot" clip. An invisible button is a button with only a "hit" state. It will display as cyan (light blue) when you add it to the stage if you have done it correctly.

Hope it helps.

Wow JT that almost looked like you knew what you were doing!
