Placement of Favicon.ico under apache tomcat 4

hi...

I would like to know as to where exactly I place my customised favicon ico undermy apache tomcat tree... I tried placing it under webapps and webinf and also in teh root directory.. still when I create teh shortcut to my URl .. my favicon still doesn't seem to be picked up :(

my favicon.ico is as per the standards...

Can anybody help me please
