Good afternoon,
I am currently running a PIX-515 in a standalone mode.
I have required a second PIX-515 aswell, so i was planning to have a failover unit.

How would I connect my Internet link (link to the outside world, RJ45) to both the pixes. Would i connect the 2 PIX's and Internet connection to a HUB or SWITCH? which is more secure and any recommended units?

Regards,
Vinay

First, does your original Pix have an unrestricted license? Assuming so, then yes. Connect the 2 Pix's and the Internet connection to a hub or switch. It really doesn't matter which, but make sure that spanning tree is turned off if it's a switch. That can screw with the failover.
