Ok. I'm trying to connect to a hospital through their VPN software and my firewall won't let me through to their system. I'm pretty new to routers and firewalls. I have spoken to their guys and they say that I have to have IPSec enabled. I told them that, of course, this is no problem. However, I cannot seem to find out how to enable IPSec on the firewall using the GUI. How does one go about enabling IPSec on a PIX 501?

Hate to bump up my own thread, but I really need help here. I found an article on MS's website saying I need to have NAT enabled and forward some ports, but I'm not exactly sure how to accomplish this. Thanks.

What you are asking about is a bit more complex than just saying humm de dumm... enable ipsec, there done. Abit of configuration is going to go into this.

Not to mention you are in a router forum so a lot of us may not even look at the problem. PIX and routers are not the same animal. Were some of us may be really good with routers we may space out when we think of messing with a pix.

Would say you may want to look at this on cisco web site it may help you out a bit.
