I have created a pivot table off of monthly information and I can get the column totals but not the row grand totals. Any suggestions?

Right-Click the pivot table and select Options. There is an option for showing Grand totals for rows.

I have tired that and it still does not come up but it is working for the columns. I was wondering if it had anything to do with they data I pulled in.

Under Options for the pivot table there is an option called "Grand Totals for Rows". Make sure thats checked and you should get the total you need.

that item is checked. I have also reduced the 24 columns down to 1 column and at that point the grand total appears. Once I add a second column it goes away and I am not able to get it to come back. Any other suggestions?

GAH! Sorry dsi, you beat me to the draw.

Dreadnaught, if you have tried that and you are not getting a row total, check the way in which you have structured your data. Make sure you have more than one column of data for the pivottable to add up.

Hasit,

There are 30 columns in the data area of which 24 are numeric. Those are the ones I am trying to total. That is why it is confussing that if I have one column you can actually see a grand total for the rows but but when I have two or more columns I only see those columns.
