new to pivot tables.. and I can't get it to keep my formatting changes. I want to set the column width, and set text-wrapping for the column headers. But it tells me I have to depress the 'enable selection button' in the 'select' menu. This is done, but it still says that!
If anyone knows what I'm missing here and tells me, I'd be eternally grateful.
thanx.

oh second question: is it at all possible to have the row/column totals show up on the left/top right next to the headings? that way you don't have to scroll across many screens to see which total it is you're looking at. I tried copying the list next to it/below it (the totals), but when I change months (data-set), there's a different amount of rows/columns so they don't line up anymore.

right click on the pivot table>select table options...deselect preserve formatting.

Ooops,.... SELECT "preserve table" formatting and Deselect "autoformat table"

good call. That's what i get for trusting the feedback in the error message.
thanx!
