I have a pivot table which has data by day / Brand/ sub type. Then the data shown is a % of the total. Is it possible to use the sub total instead of the grand total to get 100%.

Current
e.g
01/03/07 / Brand /Sales / 100 / 25%
01/03/07 / Brand / Marketing / 100 / 25%
Sub Total 50%
02/03/07 / Brand /Sales / 100 / 25%
02/03/07 / Brand / Marketing / 100 / 25%
Sub Total 50%
Grand Total 100%

Required
01/03/07 / Brand /Sales / 100 / 50%
01/03/07 / Brand / Marketing / 100 / 50%
Sub Total 100%
02/03/07 / Brand /Sales / 100 / 50%
02/03/07 / Brand / Marketing / 100 / 50%
Sub Total 100%

Many thanks

Phil

Phil -- great question. I joined this forum hoping to find the answer to it. Have you learned how to calculate % on subtotals?

The only way I can think of for doing this is to drag the Sales/MArketing field into the "COLUMN" area of the pivot table and have the data showing as "% of ROW"

Rgds, Geoff

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.
