Hey all ..

Has anyone ever set up Exchange 5.5 with and ssl certificate so that it generates a secure id?

What we have alot now is people wanting to send us documents that are very confidential and need to be secure. They encrypt their own emails and require that we provide them with a certificate so that we can open it.

Is that simply done at the client level - or can we add something to the exchange server so that it is done automatically?

I am JUST beginning to research this - and don't know much about it ... so I'm trying here first.

I know that we can download a 60 trial certificate from Verisign .. but if this is going to happen alot - i'd rather nip it in the butt, and have it done for my users automatically...

Any info is appreciated. Alshrim

So in order to do this i have to turn on OWA?? Eesh.. dunno if I wanna do that. and that would also mean a reinstallation of my exchange server.

Hmm.. i thought it would be a little easier than that.

Thanks for the reply Bronto .. i'll have to look into this a little more and evaluate whether this is a viable thing for me to do.

Cheers. Alshrim

Hehe, you don't have to turn on OWA, just install the KMS.
Although, I do agree, it is a bit tedious...

Ya.. I got that after I read the whole thing ...

ehehe.. duh.. maybe I should read EVERYTHING first before replying...
