Is it possible to view the a real picture in Access that is saved as .jpg (JPG file)?

I tried to insert an object in a OLE Type Field but it showed only the JPEG Icon not the real picture...("View as Icon" is not checked by the way).

I hope you can help me with this one...
I just want to get away of converting all the pictures into Bitmaps.

Thanks!! :)

Here' what I did once
I created a form
Then put an "Image" control on it
then I used this code to load a .JPG into the image control.

------------------------
Private Sub Form_Current()
    If Me![ID] <> 0 Then

        Me!Image14.Picture = "p:\ViewPhotos\Photos\" & Me![ID] & ".jpg"
        Label20.Caption = "File: " & " p:\ViewPhotos\Photos\" & Me![ID] & ".jpg"
    End If

End Sub
--------------------------------
I put this code in the form's on current event

OK

Jofet ... Hey! DougP..... how ya doing pardner.....?

I created a small db for pictures just to see what happened and mine works fine

I got a table with one OLE field
a Form to see what's inside
and a report

in my form it gives me the option of converting the image... so....

I'm also wondering why do you need Access to do the conversions... are you going to be converting batches of files...?

If is just converting files into bitmaps once on a while you can just open the jpg do a copy and then paste it into your bitmap editing program.

If you have any problems you can use Powerpoint as a mediator between the two programs.

If you want send me an e-mail to dogtraining@yahoo.com to send you the small DB I created as an attachment so you can compare with what you have.

I know more about pictures than about Access, but DougP is the man.....yeahhh!...

Like I said.... hope this is of some help.....

OUCH......!
Dumboy.!
