Hi everyone,

Is there a way to dial in to collect voicemail from an external number on a option 11 24.25, with standard Mermail (not sure of version) ?

The DN itself has since been moved over to a different PBX, but there is still some messages on the old mailbox/PBX.

What I was hoping was the person could call an external number in the number pool of the old PBX, hit '#' or something, dial the old mailbox number/password and start collecting messages from there ? It is a hotline for recruitment, so people leave messages for application forms, etc on there, and there's about 40 messages left to pick up!

Any help greatly appreciated!!

Cheers

if you dial the mailbox number, when the message plays hit 81 and it should let you log in.

depends on the app params. you could call into my mermail or pilot, you just need the voice mail answer dn. if that is a did, call it and the ,ady in the box will ask for a voice mail number and password. when i out a phone i also out the users mb. some techs don't

If you have DID service, use ACD t point one of the DID numbers to the voicemail pilot number. Then, in Mermail, setup a VSDN as VM under Voice Service Administration. If a person calls that DID number, they will be prompted to enter their mailbox and password to log in.

If you don't have DID service, then do the same with an extension number in your normal range.

Sorry, didn't see John's post...strike mine. Says the same thing.
