phpBB error

When I submit data in the login page of phpBB
I get a message

"This page cannot be displayed "

This is the same error we get if we try to access a website without an internet connection in internet explorer.

The url of the login page is

http://10.10.1.214/login.php

(this is on a local network).

The error message is on this URL--

http://10.10.1.214/myfol/login.php?SID=2562567364

here the SID is a long number



If I use the back button of the browser, It shows that I am logged in. Also I can browse other pages.This error does not occur if the username/password is wrong.

I am using Internet explorer 6, apache 1.3x on Windows 2000 professional.


Any ideas?

What does the server log say?
Look in the Apache access_log and error log if there's any more information. Is the access logged?

1) I would check to see that PHP is set up properly to handle sessions and that a temp/session directory has been configured.

2) I would ask this on phpbb.com - You will find a more directly targeted audience there.
