PHP MSSQL Questions

I am a Windows techie. I work with it daily in my jobs. Over the years I have gotten into a little programming on the side....at the time I learned PHP. Now I am pretty good at PHP. I have always either had someone else host it, or leased a dedicated linux box to run things.

I now have the opportunity to bring a server in house so I can manage this stuff myself. Since I am a MS guy, I am leaning towards Server 2003. I am much more comfortable admining that than a linux box. I am also a MCDBA, so MSSQL is my choice. All looks fine except the PHP in the mix. So now the questions...

Do I stay with MS Server 2003 and MSSQL? Or move towards a linux box with apache and teach myself to admin it.

How does PHP run on MS Server as far as performance. Any problems with PHP and MSSQL?

Just looking for any general feedback anyone has.

Thanks!

Run a Windows 2003 server. Stick Apache on there, with the PHP module to run the PHP.

Performance wise it should run fine.
