PHP Install

Hi,
Im trying to install PHP on a solaris box with appache but run into a problem with make install:
Making install in .
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `install-sapi'
Current working directory /disk1/home/emu/php/php-4.2.3
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `install-recursive'

Can anyone shed some light on this for me
