Photo Editor printing 8 times

I have a bizarre problem with one machine. The user gets jpeg attachments to some of his emails. When he prints them in Microsoft Photo Editor (Windows XP Pro) using the print icon, they print out 8 times. If he uses the File/Print menu the default number of copies is 1.
I have asked him to send me the email and if I do the same on another machine I get 1 copy no matter which method I choose. I have tried printing from his machine to another printer and still get 8 copies from the Print icon. so it is not specific to the printer driver. I can't find any entries in the registry for Photo Editor relating to number of copies.
Anyone any ideas at all?

Is it set to print 'Contact sheets'?

As I can't find anywhere in Photo Editor to set it to print "contact sheets" I will say no. Is that buried in the registry somewhere, as I can't see it as an option in "properties

Ahh, Ok, I understand. Have looked at what you suggested and sadly everything is set to full page print. am currently investigating if the problem persists if the email attachement is saved to a folder first or if it only happens when opened directly within the email.

Ok, I think I need to re-ask this question in "Email issues" as, if you save the attachment to any folder and then print, you get just the one copy. If you print whilst the attachment is just a temporary file, you get 8 copies.
