phonetic search

Hey all,

In oracle SQL it's possible to do a phonetic search with the command SOUNDINDEX(String). In sybase this works also but it gives other results (less well than oracle)
Is there anybody who knows how this works in sybase?

Yup - the string function SOUNDEX(String). Not that I've ever used it...
