how do i get into a diagnostics menu on Lucent Partner Phone System?

Partner II Processor in use. Here's the question. How does a station "Lock" get activated?

Avaya Partner ACS manual May 2001, pp. 8-58 ff:
To program a station lock button
1. Press Feature 0-0
2. Press a programmable (lighted) button
3. Press Feature 2-1

To use the feature:
1. Press the Station Lock button, or Feature 2-1
(If yu have a lighted programmed Station Lock button, it's light will flash.)
2. Enter a four-digit code by using digits 0-9
3. Re-enter (confirm) the four-digit code
The station is locked.

To unlock,
1. Press the Stion Lock button, or press Feature 2-1
2. Enter the four-digit code
The station is unlocked.

BTW, Considerations:

----If you forget the code number?
From extension 10 or 11, press Feature 22. Enter the extension number. The set is unlocked.

-----What happens if you program this feature or similar ones onto a button without a light? It works! BUT you now have a feature that impacts, possiblly in a dramatic way, the operation of the phone and you have no visual indication that a feature has been activated.
