Phone Manager Problems

When the Phone managers loads on my PC, I can trace incoming call, monitor status of phones, etc.
BUT - it turns on Forward to 0 and I miss calls, then I try to cancel it, but it wont. I have to go in with IP Office Manager and delete from my User forms.

Any ideas on why this happens??
 
make sure there r no numbers in the forward fields and forward options r unchecked, ensure the config isnt being left open in manager then changed later, saving old settings back to switch
 
For clarification ... this is Phone Manager Lite.

I had it loading with PC start-up; it is great for caller ID, missed calls, phone status of co-workers, etc.

The options 're-appear' as checked and direct calls to '0' all by itself when the aplication starts up. The options were saved under config with 'OK' and the exit is done when the machine closes.

I would request that only those that know what the problem is respond... I have tried the normal fixes myself.
 
Although i have never seen this before and you incist to get only reponses if someone knows the probel ( and the solution i suppose ) i will response just to give advise, like the others did.

What IPO do you have, wich build is it, what is your OS, PMlite build , these detail can help to get better respons.

Start PhoneManager with the -debug option and see if you can detect the problem.
 
I had the issue on 3.0 (40) on a new install. Upgraded to 3.0 (44) which had just come out and it fixed the problem. I had upgraded the User to 3.0.13 but it didn't fix anything until the IP Office was upgraded. The system would add the 0 to the forwarding section and you could take it out but it never removed it. I assume this is the same issue you are having.
 
Thank you PHins711 - - now that is useful information!!!! I get tired of people that don't have a clue asking you to tie your shoes and see if it works!!!
 
It would be more usefull if you posted the software versions you use and before asking always upgrade to the latest versions.
That's the reason you get those questions, i will ignore future requests from you with such a attitude.

3. You are correct, I did need to provide software versions with the question.
4. Upgrading is not always possible, and not recommended to go between software releases (i.e. 2.0 to 2.1 to 3.0) without good reason.
5. Say 'no!' to crack!
 
Ok, i'm not english from nature and i know it is not always possible to upgrade but asking on a forum for help automaticly implies reactions, even if you don't need them.
 
Intigrant is usualy on the ball when answering questions, if he is asking for additional infor it is because it is necessary to get to the bottom of your problem.

You problem does sound like a bug in the version of phone manager you are using PHins771 indicate that he has seen this as well.

I agree that upgrading for the sake of upgrading is always risky, but with older firmware you may have no choice as avaya will not support anything below V2.1

& Finaly I am English, but my typing & spelling are not always 100% perfect, as long as I can undersatnd the meaning of someone who is giving up his own personal time to assist I do not get pedantic. Regular users of this forum find it a verry friendly place, can we please keep it that way & not resort to the personal flame wars that seem to exist elsewhere

 
I second that Ip Guru. I have work on this product since Network Alchemy days and i still don't know the answers and if it was'nt for forums like these i don't know where I would be. you find you know more than distributor tech support. Sometimes I ask stupid questions. And I welcome any solutions that users to this forum provides me.
 
IP Guru is right, i'm having a customer right now were the users having PM Lite set will get a Pro version wich consumes the Pro licenses.
PM Pro 3.0.13 is buggy, i've just tried 3.0.16 wich did not solve the problem.
 
It was PHins777 who identified the bug, credit where it is due.
 
The problem that intrigrant stated about PM Lite users consuming PM Pro licenses is supposed to be addressed in the Novemeber Maintenance release.

I know but unfortunally the GA november candidate software 3.0.67 doesn't solve the problem.
And i have only one site suffering from this the others are cleared.
 
Wow, I guess that got kind of blown up. Just as IP Guru and Raknas said, I can't even begin to think how many fixes I have found on this site. I thank everyone for that. If it wasn't for this site I would still be on hold waiting for tech support just to tell me to send a copy of the config and traces. Then I love it when it takes them so long to get back there is a new release and you have to upgrade, again!
