Has anyone ever come across a "Component Transfer Error" message when installing Phone Manager (3.1.13 I believe in this case). I get about 2% through the install when I get a dialog with that title, listing:

Component: Phone Manager
File Group: PhoneManager
File:
Error: Access Denied

I have no idea why I am getting an access denied error. THis is simply an uninstall of a previous version, and instal of the new one. I see no place in which it should be denied permissions. Anyone have any ideas?

This sounds like a user rights error. Is this computer joined to a domain and if so make sure you have domain admin rights to remove the applications.

The user is the local administator for the machine I am trying to install on.

Sure but is the computer joined to a domain? If the application was installed using a domain account that had domain admin privledges then you will likely need the same permissions to remove it.
