Phaser 840 13,033.45:102235 Error at startup

Hello.

I have a Phaser 840 which is giving me the error code 13,033.45:102235 a few seconds after startup. IU have a sinking feeling I know what it is, but would like to know for certain.

I would greatly appreciate any help at all. Thank you in advance!

Well if your sinking feeling was a printhead failure I am sorry to say that you were right. The error says the printhead resevoir thermistor is open. Replacing the printhead is the only alternative as it is not broken down into individual parts.

Does anyone have any recommendations for dealers of replacement parts? I'm guessing that ordering direct from Xerox will be incredibly expensive.

If you order from Xerox it will cost you $1700 for a printhead. You may be able to find it cheaper by going to a dealer or ASP/SDP to order the part for you. You can find a list of them on their website under Authorized service providers.

Hi,

The cost of a printhead is almost as much as a new Phaser 8400 with 1 year warranty.
