Hi,
I finaly solved my "replace main charge grid" error. The message was being displayed even after installing a new charge grid.
I called Xerox support and the guy told me the usual things (replace the grid again, clean contacts, turn power on and off...) but he had no further information in his database.
I searched infosmart again and finaly found that there are two different charge grids. One with a small plastic nub, the other without (the latter comes together with a new image unit).
This nub is responsible for touching a micro switch in the rear part of printer, telling the printer that a new grid has been inserted...
I just used a piece of adhesive tape to convince my printer, that the grid IS new (even without the plastic nub) ;-)
