I have a shared database deployed in a network setting. There are about 30 individual users and only about 5 working within the database at a given time.

Recently, those using the database have been getting a "You and another user are attempting to alter the same record" message while using some forms or reports. The problem is that even when I am logged in exclusivly the same message appears.

Any thoughts? I am stumped.

Thanks,

GordonV

Hi Gordon

Check your code: I have seen similar problems when the two different bits of code in the same procedure tries to access and / edit the same record before an update is made.

Any chance that someone locked up and their .LDB file wasn't deleted? Terry M. Hoey
