Hi,
I removed a NIC and replaced with a new one, but Win2k says (something like) "The ip address xxxx is already assigned to the 3comxxxx, but the 3comxxx is hidden because it's not physically present or is a legacy card...blah, blah"

OK, I know it's not physically present, because I removed it. Now, how do I get Win2k to get that through it's head and stop reminding me that once upon a time, years ago (well, days ago) there once existed this other card. It's a catch-22--I can't remove it, because it's hidden, and it's hidden because I removed it. Any help on this?
