Phantom extensions. 406V2 R4.0.7
On 3.2 I am able to create user extension numbers without actual extension ports. ( for hunt group forwarding purposes.)
On R4.0.7 I now get messages in the error list and the forward doesn't work. I have to use an actual unused extension port to make it work.
Has anyone or does anyone use the phantom extension for forwarding seen this issue???

yes, that is how our systems was. it was actually making our system reboot, after i deleted the phantom extensions everything was better.

This was supposed to be fixed, it was a bug in 4.0.5.

There is a pb to fix this issue, if this is true it would seem that it is still broken?

Can i just be devils advocate for a second.

Your hunt group isnt set to group ring is it? Your user does have forward hunt group calls ticked also?

The mesage in the error list is just telling you you dont have a physical port assigned to that number.

What about if you create an ip extn to match the user?
