We're a hospital with analog phones in patient rooms. There are times when patients complain that their phones ring, they anser, and then they hear the on hold music. I'm pretty sure that our switchboard operators are accidentally doing this. I don't have any other explination (then again I'm not as good as you guys are :) )

What should I be looking for? Also we just have one company setup (company 0). Should we put patient phones into a seperate company? How do I set them so they don't ring after a certain time? I can re-post these as seperate questions if need be.

Thanks again!

turn off transfer on your patient phones.. i had that problem here at an 8000 station hospital.. the patient makes a call, or trys to make a call. press the on hook off hook key, puts that call on hold.. get dt back then makes a second call.. after that call and a few timers, that 1st call recalls to there station.. they are usually doing a flash between calls.. unless you have anaolg trunks it not usually your consoles.. in analog trunk days it was common to transfer a call and drop the calling party, that went away with digital trunks..
