Greetings from Seattle

I have a digital 6424 set which has a peersonal CO line programmed. Customers extension rolls to VM under RNA or busy conditions fine. He wants the Personal CO line to forward to his extension mailbox as well if it is not answered. The PBX is a Definity, voicemail is an Octel 250. Is there an easy way to make this happen?

Thanks,

Dave

On the personal-CO-line form you can add a Coverage Path. If you assigned a coverage path that went to voicemail, I'm not sure what digits would be sent to the voicemail. You could test this by assigning voicemail coverage and running a trace.

If the TAC code, for example, is what is being sent to the voicemail, could you add that code as a secondary extension on your users mailbox? You can on other voicemails, but I don't know the Octel.

Or, if you use VDN/Vectors you could add a coverage path to a VDN. The associated vector step would just have to say messaging split xx (vm hunt) for extension xxxx (your user).
