Permissions query on network 2

Can anyone help with this quickie?

(I forgot how I did this the first time. It was a while ago.)
Have a 4 pc network, various o/s's(win 2k Pro/XP Pro.
Just bought very reasonable laptop (win xp home) I have a workgroup called develop, all pcs on develop can see the laptop (new boy)(connected through router/cat 5s etc)

Laptop new boy can see all the other pc's but when selecting any of the pc icons, I am presented with a window saying enter user, and password. How do I bypass this? ( I do obviously know them, but it's a buggerance to do each time I boot up new boy)

Two pcs ask for the user/password, the third pc does not, so it has obviously got it stored somewhere, how do I do the same for the other two connections?

Any reminders to my goldfish span of a memory would be greatly appreciated.

Open Windows Explorer> click Tools> Folder Options> click the View tab> scroll down and check Use simple file sharing(Recommended).

Make sure that you log on with the same user name and password to all the pcs, that should bypass asking for the user/pass

Thanks for the response people, sorry for the slow speed of my reply, been on a course, and the promised hotel WiFi did not appear.

I will try the first suggestion later.

The second one does work, BUT I don't know the password of one of the machines, but curiously when I connect to this pc from new boy, I am not asked to supply one (Unlike the other two)

so to recap. 3 pc net work 4 inc new boy laptop.

pc1 win 2k pro
pc2 win 2k pro
pc3 win xp pro
pc4 New boy laptop win xp home.

pc4 can see all shared files on pc3
pc4 is asked for password/user id on pc 1, and pc 2 to see shared files.

So at some point I must have set up pc pc 3 to share without p/wds but I can't remember how.
