I have a Windows 2000 Advanced Server box which has IIS 5 up 'n running. I've created a FTP Site on the machine, also on this machine is Active Directory.

My problem is that, when I create a New User, they can't login to my FTP (not locally or via internet). My private user account (not the Admin one) can logon to the FTP, and that private user account is just an ordinary User with no special privs.

How and where does IIS validate logins? Is it from AD?

Thanx for any kind of help!

Hi itguru!!

Thank you for the support, but I can't find Logon Locally on the User object! Not even the policies!

I use the Active Directory Users & Computers to select the properties for the user, or is that wrong?

Thanx once again!

Try adding the users to the ftp site permissions. Right click on the ftp site in IIS and the go to properties. Go to the second tab, Security Accounts, and at the bottom their is a list of users. Add the users, or group you want their.

Hope this helps
