I am currently setting up various access groups for SQL Server Management Studio and am struggling to find the permission scripts that will allow me to give people access to the Activity Monitor (under the Management folder) and also to the SQL Server Agent (showing all of the scheduled josb etc). The problem is that as soon as I remove permissions to certain actions, the users can no longer see these folders on the left hand pane.

Any clues???

For the SQL Agent, make then a member of the SQLAgentUserRole. If you give them the VIEW SERVER STATE role then they can view the process information, which should be able to allow them to view the process monitor.
