Permanently set alarm program

Hello;

I searched first and could not find the solution, so here's my question. Is there anyway to permanently set Notify.exe as the program to launch for alarms? My notify options have been set for mail and calendar but each time I create a new posted appointment I have to specify Notify.exe. It would be great to set it once and forget about it.
