Does anybody know if the perl-flash connection has been made? I was hoping this would be it
but the demos all give internal server errors.

Hopefully, it generates flash movies from perl code.
The author of P::F wrote me back! As follows:

There's a Perl module called SWF::File on CPAN and The Ming project has
a wrapper for their SWF stuff.
I also started an Opensource project called gravel
( to do a C library for parsing and
creating SWFs but it's slightly unfinished.
