perl corrupts unicode files

Hi,
I need to parse texts files using perl scripts
my input files are encoded by Unicode
I always get the output file not Unicode but something else
(like ANSI)
what should I do to get the output file also in Unicode
and Readable???
Please Help Me

thanks for the help
Can anyone tell me where can I download the package utf8.pm
because I keep getting an Error while trying to install
utf8.pm through my PPM menu...?
Please help me
